California’s Assembly Bill 98 introduces new statewide standards for logistics facilities that will require cities to adjust

their existing planning processes. While the bill aims to reduce truck congestion and improve air quality, it also places new

administrative and operational expectations on local jurisdictions. Cities will need to update truck route maps,

integrate new design and operational standards into their review processes, and ensure that future logistics projects

comply with the state’s requirements. These tasks may be manageable for larger agencies, but they could create
