REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR LOCAL FLOOD & BLOWSAND RISK ASSESSMENT AND IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR THE WESTERN COACHELLA VALLEY

 

The Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) invites proposals from qualified professionals or firms to undertake development of a local flood and blowsand risk assessment and improvement plan for the Western Coachella Valley region. The plan is to identify, describe and model conceptual alternatives that provide near-term solutions to address local flood and blowsand events that are feasible in the short term as opposed to longer-term more costly solutions listed in CVAG’s Transportation Project Prioritization Study (TPPS). Proposed solutions should successfully reduce the hardships and risks to the communities due to flooding and blowsand, while at the same time protecting habitat for plant and animal species.
